Association of sodium butyrate and phytase on the performance, bone quality and intestinal development in broilers

This study assessed the effect of combination microencapsulated sodium butyrate (SB) and phytase (PH) on performance, intestinal integrity, bone development broilers. The experiment comprised 736 chicks distributed in a completely randomised design 2 × factorial scheme (with without inclusion SB with PH at recommended dose superdosing) totalling four treatments eight repetitions 23 birds each. was added 0.750 kg/tonne included 750 units (FTU)/kg 1 500 FTU/kg diet. live weight (LW), feed intake (FI) conversion (FC) were evaluated weekly. Bone measurements tibia femur, densitometry, length, Seedor index, diameter performed seven 28 days. In same ages, fragments jejunum ileum segments collected subjected to morphometry analysis. At days age, supplemented superdosing showed better FI LW, diet LW FC. period from one days, treatment provided higher LW. supplementation resulted greater use increased villus length width There an increase villus-to-crypt ratio, absorption area, muscular layer decrease crypt jejunum. there no any segment or broiler diets' growth promoter antibiotic-free performance measurements, while association additional depth : area may be strategy improve quality integrity
